Sophomore and Rising Junior PackageThe academic and extracurricular choices students make early in high school have a significant impact on the outcome of their high school experience, and ultimately their admissions profile. In this package, an overview of the college process is presented, academic opportunities and gaps are addressed, enrichment and community service options are identified, an optimal high school path for the student is developed. Comprehensive Package (juniors and seniors)This option provides comprehensive mentoring throughout the college application process. Services cover parent and student interviews, individual assessment of student’s learning style and interests, identifying community service and extracurricular opportunities, consulting on high school coursework and standardized tests, transcript review, admissions profile development, timeline, college list recommendation, college visit coaching, mock interviews, resume and supplemental material support, essay brainstorming and editing, recommendation guidance, review of financial aid and merit aid options, assistance in final college selection. With this package students meet and email with College Directions of CNY as often as needed. Parents input by phone and email is welcome. Personalized College List (juniors and seniors)This option covers the steps necessary to develop a personalized college list including parent and student interviews, learning style and interest assessment, transcript review, extracurricular review, admissions profile development, college list. Essay Package (seniors)For those students who only need help with essay development. Services include initial parent and student consultation, topic brainstorming, essay editing. |
